FAQ
| Q1: How do I know that The BariCeutrical Prescription nutritional supplements are safe for me to take? | |
![]() |
A. Our line of products was developed by Silvia Demeter and Gaspar Rosario under the guidance of leading bariatric physicians affiliated with a renowned medical institution and specialize in bariatric surgical procedures. These doctors, and a team of highly trained nutritionists, actually recommend The BariCeutical Prescription supplements for their own patients. |

| Q2: Why do bariatric patients become deficient in nutrients? | |
![]() |
A: After surgery, you will only be eating 1/10 of what you would normally eat. As you probably know, whenever you are on a diet, your body begins to use it’s own stored resources leaving you depleted of nutrients within two to four weeks. |

| Q3: Aren’t vitamins in pill form easier to take? | |
![]() |
A: The most prevalent form of vitamin supplements is the pill. In order to give a pill its shape and to maintain shelf life it contains binders, fillers, artificial colors, flavors, wax coatings and preservatives. Further, it can take as long as four hours for the system to absorb only 10 to 20% of the nutrients delivered in pill form. On the other hand, our liquids are absorbed by the proper part of the stomach within thirty seconds of consumption. |

| Q4: As a bypass patient, can’t I just take over-the-counter multi or chewable vitamins? | |
![]() |
A: Absolutely not. All multivitamins contain ingredients which cannot be broken down and used by your new, small stomach. F.Y.I after bypass surgery, the duodenum (which is the part of your lower intestine that is used to break down all B vitamins) is bypassed. Anyone who tells you to take a multivitamin is not educated in the bariatric supplement field. |

| Q5: Can I take any ordinary powdered protein mix? | |
![]() |
A: You can but you will not receive the benefit that your body needs. Research shows that the digestive system absorbs protein fragments that are in the di-peptide (2 amino acids linked together) and tri-peptide (3 amino acids linked together) form. This same research shows that more than 70% of the amino acids that appear in the blood, after they’re consumed, are in the di-peptide and tri-peptide form. These exhibit powerful biological activity and exert influence over everything from hormones to the immune system and nerve function. Finally, improper protein nourishment of the digestive system can lead to any number of health problems, including loss of bone and muscle mass, hair loss, loss of skin elasticity, allergies, immune system compromise and hormone imbalance. |
